Astaro’s Email Encryption option enables the encryption, decryption and digital signature of emails, based on S/MIME and OpenPGP standards. Outgoing e-mails from defined users are automatically encrypted and/or signed. All incoming e-mails are automatically decrypted, verified and checked via the internal virus and content scanner. As these procedures occur centrally on the Astaro Security Gateway with complete transparency for the end user, no additional encryption software will be required on the client itself.
