New features

In Dingo (our next major release of onCourse), we have been working on a number of new features and improvements.

We’d like show our customers what we’ve been working on, and see how these features work for their processes. This release is purely a preview, we will not be asking for bug reports, rather we’d like to see if the concepts and interface work.

Traineeships

You can create traineeships courses and track traineeships from the Course menu. The process to creating a traineeship is very similar to creating a VET course for the most part.

Memberships

Found on the Resources menu, this allows the creation of a membership that can be tied into a discount. You can use this to enable certain students to have a year’s subscription to courses for example.

Budgeting/Payroll/Scheduling

We have done significant work with tying in session and timetabling with wages and hourly rates tutors.
They can be added via File -> Preferences -> Tutor roles/wages.

After you have created your wages and setup sessions, the budget tab will display some estimates.

Attendance

You can now mark the roll from a class by clicking on the Attendance tab when editing a class.
