Maintenance

Your Astaro firewall has various levels of maintenance available.

Basic maintenance

Updates to firewall features, intrusion protection rules and security patches are retrieved automatically by your Astaro firewall via a secure service. These updates are available while you maintain your Maintenance subscription. The Astaro license itself will never expire, but you will not be able to upgrade it for new features or security patches after your Maintenance subscription expires. The updating system in Astaro is one of its key features: it is extremely easy to keep your firewall updated.

Email and telephone technical support is also offered without additional charge through the USA Astaro support centre. This support is offered 7am-9pm Pacific Time (roughly 1am-3pm Australian EST, Tuesday-Saturday). Response within these times will be within 2 hours for critical issues (involving downtime or severe problems), 4 hours for high level issues (such an intermittent faults) and one day for minor issues or questions.

Premium maintenance

This higher level of support offers all of the above 24 × 7 instead of only US business hours plus a priority position in the Astaro job queue.
